STATEWIDE ABSTRACT TO OFFER CONTINUING EDUCATION SEMINAR

Ethical Considerations in Real Estate and Title Insurance

On Thursday, July 12th, Statewide Abstract, in conjunction with First American Title Insurance Company, will host a free informative seminar for attorneys and realtors, titled “Ethical Considerations in Real Estate and Title Insurance.” Two CE and CLE credits will be given to New York attorneys and realtors who complete the presentation. The event will take place at Westchester Hills Golf Club, 401 Ridgeway in White Plains. Registration begins at 2:00 PM, and the seminar will run from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM followed by a cocktail reception and networking event from 5 – 6:00pm.

Antonio Vozza, Vice President & New York State Counsel for the Agency Department of First American Title Insurance Company-Eastern Division, will be the speaker. His presentation will cover conflicts of interest, division of fees, contractual relationships between lawyers and nonlegal professionals and payment for referrals.

Antonio Vozza is a graduate of St. John’s School of Law, Class of 1988 after which he was admitted to the New York State Bar 2nd Department. After serving as an Associate Attorney for the Bronx Legal Aid Society for two years, he moved on to private practice, concentrating in areas of Real Estate, Land Use and Zoning, Municipal Law, Residential and Commercial Financing and Litigation for 15 years before commencing his career in the title industry. Mr. Vozza is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and serves as Secretary of the Mamaroneck- Harrison-Larchmont Bar Association.
