United Corporate Services acquires CLAS Information Services

NEW YORK October 3, 2023 – New York-based United Corporate Services, Inc. (“UCS”) announced today that it has acquired California-based CLAS Information Services (“CLAS”).

The CLAS acquisition is symbolic of UCS’ commitment to balanced growth. By expanding geographically through strategic acquisitions of like-minded companies, UCS increases our capabilities to offer a broad range of solutions to meet our clients’ needs.

CLAS is a well-respected legal and financial services firm specializing in the search, filing and retrieval of public records in the United States and abroad. For over 40 years, they have provided services to attorneys, paralegals, corporate legal departments, financial institutions, title companies, and entrepreneurs.

Established in 1970, UCS has successfully provided a variety of corporate filing services such as registered agent, corporate formations, annual compliance monitoring, UCC and due diligence searching, and public records retrieval. Our mission is to provide legal, financial, and corporate professionals with the tools and expertise they need to complete their corporate and secured transactions with ease.

Under the new ownership, Michael A. Barr will assume the role of CEO and Donald E. Conklin will assume the role of COO. CLAS will continue to operate as a separate brand from UCS, maintaining its California headquarters and providing the same excellent service their clients have come to expect. With the exception of the CEO and COO, all current directors, management staff and employees will remain with CLAS.
