Two New Members Named to TMB’s Board of Directors

KEVIN J. PLUNKETT, ESQ. AND ITA M. RAHILLY, CPA NAMED TO TOMPKINS MAHOPAC BANK’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Tompkins Mahopac Bank (TMB) has announced the election of two new independent board members to its Board of Directors, Kevin J. Plunkett, Esq. and Ita M. Rahilly, CPA.
Plunkett currently serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives for Simone Development Companies, a leading regional developer and owner of health care and commercial space. From 2010 to 2017, Plunkett served as Westchester Deputy County Executive under County Executive Rob Astorino, where as chief operating officer he oversaw the management of a $1.8-billion-budget and 4,500 employees. He began his career in law as an assistant district attorney in Westchester County, a position he held for four years. He then worked at Plunkett & Jaffee, a tri-state regional law firm, for more than 20 years, after which he joined Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP, an international law firm based in New York City where he spent seven-plus years. He then joined Delbelllo Donnellan Weingarten Wise & Wiederkehr, as a partner at the regional law firm in White Plains.

In addition to his professional career, Plunkett has worked with a wide range of community and non-profit organizations on the local, regional and state levels, and currently is a board member of Phelps Northwell Hospital in Sleepy Hollow. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross and a law degree from Stetson University. He is a lifelong resident of Tarrytown, New York.
Ita M. Rahilly is a partner in the Tax Division of RBT CPAs, LLP, a public accounting firm with offices in Newburgh, Wurtsburo and Poughkeepsie. Rahilly has more than 25 years of accounting experience, including an emphasis in federal and state compliance and income tax planning for subchapter C and S corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts and individuals; estate and succession planning; international taxes; as well as IRS and state controversy work.

Rahilly works with closely held businesses and their shareholders and assists families to transition wealth and business operations between generations with minimal tax impact. She also counsels on liquidity for estate taxes payments, easing family members’ administrative work. Among Rahilly’s extensive professional and community affiliations are her position as the president elect of the New York State Society of CPAs, where she has been a member since 1988; membership with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Governing Council; membership with the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils; past president of the Hudson Valley Estate Planning Council; various committee positions along with past vice-president with the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants; past chapter representative to State Board and past president of the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the New York State Society of CPAs; various committee positions at Mount Saint Mary College and former member of the board of trustees, past president of the Notre Dame Club of the Mid-Hudson Valley. She also is a long-time member of TMB’s Business Development Board.

Rahilly has Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from University of Notre Dame, is a Leadership Dutchess graduate and resides in Stormville, NY.
“Talented and insightful people like Kevin and Ita strengthen TMB’s board and its continuing aim to direct the company in meaningful and effective directions that benefit the bank and its mission to support people and businesses in the communities it serves,” said TMB’s President and CEO, Gerald J. Klein, Jr.
