The Rye Arts Center Wants You to Party With A Purpose
Join The Rye Arts Center (RAC) at its biggest party of the year! On Saturday, May 4th, at 7:00 p.m., The Rye Arts Center will host its annual fundraiser at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. The Capitol will be transformed into RAC Studio 51, their version of the iconic 70s nightclub, and an homage to their historic building at 51 Milton Road.
Enjoy an unforgettable evening of glitz and glamour reminiscent of a “night out in NYC” at The Capitol Theatre as The Rye Arts Center honors five individuals who have made an indelible impact on the community. This year’s honorees are Kate & Paul Conn, Aida & Julian Koski, and the recipient of The RAC’s first-ever “Visionary Artist Award”, Meera Agarwal.
Exploding with creativity, this singular “party with a purpose” amplifies The Rye Art Center’s mission of creating Arts for All while shining a light on self-expression, individuality, and inclusivity. The party features renowned local artists, including a live pop-art creation by Lynn Mara, live portraits by David Abrevaya, culinary creations by OnTheMarc, top-shelf hand-crafted cocktails, wine, and beer at our open bar, a vibrant disco floor to bring out your Saturday Night Fever, and a bespoke Jazz Lounge on the mezzanine for those seeking a “chill vibe.”
This year, instead of a traditional journal, Studio 51@The Cap will feature the “Corridor of Joy,” “Glitter Grams,” and “Love Notes” to highlight sponsors and local businesses digitally, providing visual recognition on multiple video screens throughout the event at the Capitol Theatre.
You don’t want to miss this unique and fun evening, which will ignite the power of the arts while raising critical funds to sustain The Rye Art Center’s world-class arts education programming that the Westchester and Fairfield communities have benefited from for over 60 years.
