Sokol Media Recognizes Stacey Cohen, CEO, Co-Communications

WHITE PLAINS AND NEW YORK, NY (April 5, 2018) – Sokol Media recognized Co-Communications CEO Stacey Cohen as a 2018 TOP Women to Watch In Real Estate among 11 women honored last week at the Top Women in Real Estate Awards Gala in New York City. The award celebrates female leaders who have made a considerable impact in the real estate industry.

The awards were presented by industry publisher, Lori Sokol, President, Sokol Media, at Manhattan’s Club 101. Stacey was honored for her contributions in communications to the field of real estate.

“I am honored to receive this recognition alongside such a diverse group of talented, influential women in real estate,” Cohen said. “This accolade is a testament to our desire to support our client’s growth and innovation. At Co-Communications, we’ve created a culture that celebrates progress, collaboration, and creativity, which inspires me to lead meaningfully each and every day.”

Stacey is particularly passionate about real estate. Representative clients include Fordham University Real Estate Institute, Coldwell Banker, CBRE, The Blue Book, Construction Industry Council, Faithful Gould, Cushman Wakefield, George Comfort and Sons, and CREW New York. Her firm worked on the 18-month communication campaign “Build the Bridge Now” to raise awareness about replacing the Tappan Zee Bridge with a new Hudson River crossing, the largest public works project in state history.

Cohen founded Co-Communications, Inc. in 1997, a full-service marketing and public relations firm with offices in White Plains, NY, Farmington, CT and midtown Manhattan. Cohen began her career at Marsteller Inc. (a division of Young & Rubicam), where she was responsible for expanding the corporate communications program for advertising executives. She then held senior positions in both public relations and marketing over a six-year period at CBS/FOX Video, then the world’s largest home video company. During this time, Cohen had earned her real estate sales license and was active in the coop conversion market.

Under Cohen’s leadership, Co-Communications has been awarded the Advertising Club’s “Best of Show” in 2002, 2010, and 2012, sponsored by Gannett; the Forbes Enterprise Award (2006); and was inducted into the Westchester County Business Hall of Fame (2008). She was recently named the PRSA Practitioner of the Year in recognition of her professional achievements, experience, and reputation in the profession.

Cohen speaks frequently at real estate industry conferences and residential/commercial brokerage firms on the topic of “Building a Winning Personal Brand.” Cohen is also a HuffPost blogger and has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine, Forbes, Crain’s, Sales & Marketing and other leading national publications. She currently serves on the board of The Business Council of Westchester and the UJA Foundation. She holds a B.S. from Syracuse University, MBA from Fordham University and recently received a Certificate in Entertainment, Media and Technology from NYU Leonard Stern School of Business.
