RPD Media Associates supports “Team Missy” to fundraise for Walk to End Alzheimer’s
RPD Media Associates, LLC is participating in the fundraising effort to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. My inspiration as a Business Council of Westchester came from my mother, Missy Egan Wey, one of the first women to run an entrepreneurial business in Westchester County from the 1970’s through the early 2000’s. Her innovative planning and business model for fundraising for non-profit dinners — collaborating with leaders from The Westchester County Association and the Business Council — helped deliver badly needed funds to elevate Manhattanville College (now University), Mercy College (now University), The Westchester Lighthouse for the Blind, Westchester Community College, Pace University, and The Westchester Medical Center, setting a precedent and earning her praise and one of the first Women in Communications Awards in Westchester. All of this work while raising 4 children. Now, during her challenges with Alzheimer’s, she is giving back and taking part in helping raise money for an Alzheimer’s cure. We’re a few weeks away, and “Team Missy” still needs your support for The Walk to End Alzheimer’s. I will be walking and leading Team Missy on October 4th in Valhalla, NY.
