Monica is a granddaughter and niece of survivors. She grew up in a home where the past and present intertwined. The story Monica shares is how her aunt and grandmother survived the war because of their fortitude, shrewdness, and luck. Her family was a large, loving family before the war. Monica’s story includes how her grandfather’s life and family reacted with her grandmother and her family.
