Local Chamber to Honor The Murphy Brothers
The Mamaroneck Chamber of Commerce has chosen Murphy Brothers Contracting as their 2018 honoree. Owners Sean and Chris Murphy will be recognized at the Chamber’s ANNUAL DINNER DANCE on Friday, January 12th at 6:30 at the Beach Point Club. “The Murphy Brothers have been a longtime member of the Chamber,” said current Chamber President, Susan Fuller, “Chris and Sean Murphy, along with their entire team are very supportive to our Chamber, and the local community, we are fortunate to have Murphy Brothers Contracting in our Village.”
Sean and Chris Murphy started their award-winning general contracting firm in 1979. Although their construction projects are spread throughout the Westchester and southern Fairfield region, for nearly four decades, they have continued to operate their business in the Mamaroneck community. “Mamaroneck will always be ‘home’ to us,” said Chris Murphy, “it’s got everything, plus the nicest people in the County!” In recent years, they’ve built and operate Mamaroneck Self Storage on their property. The brothers are hoping to add to the current structure, incorporating an Amazon-style drop-off center, a packaging & mailing service and a “white glove” packing & moving service, in synchrony with the proposed Village of Mamaroneck MAKER Zone, whose aim is the rebirth and sustainability of the manufacturing district in Mamaroneck Village.
