HudCo Presents: Armo Afrobeat Concert

Hello, BCW Community! When I’m not photographing food, I moonlight as a concert producer. Please join us on Sat 8/2 at HudCo in Dobbs Ferry for a very special concert with Armo featuring members of the Grammy-nominated afrobeat legends Antibalas!

Armo’s intimate and energetic sound focuses on classic and contemporary Afrobeat.Founded by longtime Antibalas bandmates, Armo creates spontaneous arrangements of the music of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, The Daktaris, Ebo Taylor, William Onyeabor, The Art Ensemble of Chicago, and original rhythm-based music. Armo features a revolving cast from the Daptone Records family and NY Afrobeat Scene, collectively the members of Armo have performed thousands of concerts around the world working with such luminaries as David Byrne, Angelique Kidjo, Public Enemy, TV on The Radio, Sharon Jones & The Dapkings, Ornette Coleman, and in the band for the Tony Award winning musical FELA!

HudCo Presents is a new concert series staged in a dynamic converted factory event space featuring a full-service bar, food, dessert and local craft vendors plus an amazing vibe when the lights are dimmed and the disco ball is sparkling over the stage.
