Fishkill & White Plains, N.Y. – March 1, 2021 – Cuddy & Feder LLP is pleased to announce that Hon. Peter M. Forman has joined the firm as Of Counsel in our Fishkill, N.Y., office focusing on mediation and arbitration cases and the general practice of law. Judge Forman recently retired from the bench after 21 years of public service. “Judge Forman’s decades of experience and insights from the bench will be an invaluable resource and an excellent complement to the expertise of our litigation and mediation practices,” said Christopher B. Fisher, Managing Partner of Cuddy & Feder. “We are honored and excited to have him join our firm.”
Jennifer Van Tuyl, Partner in Cuddy & Feder’s Hudson Valley office, welcomed Judge Forman back to his Southern Dutchess roots. “Pete Forman was a trusted colleague in municipal and land use practice for many years before he entered judicial service, and I am so pleased that he has chosen our office as his new professional home.”
“Over the years, I’ve worked with many attorneys at Cuddy & Feder and know them to be first-rate members of the legal profession,” said Judge Forman. “It is a pleasure to be re-entering private practice with such an exceptional and collegial group of individuals.”
Prior to his election to the County and Family Courts, Judge Forman served as a prosecutor in the Dutchess District Attorney’s office, as law clerk to County Court Judge Thomas J. Dolan and as Beacon City Attorney. He earned a B.A. in political science from LeMoyne College and received a J.D. from the University of Dayton in Ohio.
