Harrison Business Owner, Andrew Morejon, Recognized by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester & Putnam
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester & Putnam (BBBSWP) continues to highlight the powerful impact of mentorship through The Big Deal initiative, launched in January 2025. This month, the organization recognizes Hartsdale resident Andrew Morejon, owner of Morejon Wellness in Harrison, who has been a dedicated Big to his Little, R.C., for the past year.
Morejon was inspired to become a Big Brother through encouragement from his church and a supportive community that values giving. “I’m at a point in my life where my needs are met and my cup is full,” he said. “Now, I want to share that abundance with others. Mentoring has shown me that my personal needs are only a small part of life. When you open your heart and mind to others, a powerful sense of gratitude and connection follows.”
Raised in New Rochelle, Morejon added, “People often think giving requires sacrifice. But I’ve learned that not giving can cost more in time, energy, and purpose. The mutual exchange of love, connection, and gratitude is far more valuable than material wealth.” He believes that being a good
mentor starts with being genuine and open-minded. “Each Little brings their own perspective and level of understanding. It takes time to connect, but once you do, the growth you witness is incredibly fulfilling.”
“Andrew has been an invaluable asset during his year as a Big to R.C. and a supportive member of the BBBSWP community,” said Ann Ellsworth, CEO of BBBSWP. “We look forward to his continued involvement and appreciate the encouragement he offers as a mentor.”
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester & Putnam is dedicated to creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the potential in children and change lives. Through various programs designed to meet the needs of the community, the organization aims to build brighter futures for children and empower them to achieve success.
