Beyond Flowers and Food Partners with Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley located at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, announced the launch of a business partnership with Beyond Flowers and Food, a unique online store for thoughtful gifts during life’s difficult times. Beyond Flowers and Food, based out of Dobbs Ferry, is one of the many community partners working with Ronald McDonald House in their new initiative to develop strategic alliances with local businesses. FOX News recently featured Beyond Flowers and Food as a Covid Hero of the Day for donating 30 of their “Send to Thank a Frontline Hero” packages to ICU nurses in Yonkers. Beyond Flowers and Food is donating a portion of their sales for the entire month of December to Ronald McDonald House for their End of Year Giving Campaign.

Founded in 2019 by Katie Cadman and Beth Turner, Beyond Flowers and Food came out of their own grief after losing their mother suddenly to cancer. In the days and weeks that followed her death, the sisters were inundated with flowers and catered food which they appreciated but seemed impersonal and generic to them. In the years that followed when they wanted to reciprocate and support a friend or family member that was struggling they found there were no gifting solutions available and so their business was born.

The mission at Beyond Flowers and Food is to offer unique and thoughtful gift packages for life’s toughest times and similarly Ronald McDonald House provides a home-away-from home for families when they need it the most. The team at Ronald McDonald House has used the services of Beyond Flowers and Food to send thoughtful gifts to families who have lost a child and understands the value of what they offer. As strategic partners both businesses will cross promote through their websites, email marketing and social media channels. “This partnership is perfect for both parties and the mission of Beyond Flowers and Food directly aligns with ours here at Ronald McDonald House,” said Christina Riley, Executive Director at RMHGHV “We are thrilled to form this partnership and know that many of our families can benefit from the symbolic and inspirational products they offer.”

According to Turner, Beyond Flowers and Food packages feature high-quality products, hand-selected with the goal of lifting up the person going through the hardship without over doing it. “Life can be really hard, whether it’s the death of a loved one, having a surgery, going through a divorce, or a child getting a devastating diagnosis and people don’t know what to say and what to send in these times.” said Turner. “We look forward to partnering with Ronald McDonald House and ensuring that the families they support know how our products can help them through these difficult times.” The sisters ensure that each package has its own personal touch, striking the right balance of support and love.
