ArtsWestchester Names Ruth Zamoyta Director of Development

White Plains, NY (March 24, 2025) – ArtsWestchester CEO Kathleen Reckling announced today the appointment of Ruth Zamoyta of West New York, NJ as the new Director of Development for the organization after an extensive search. The appointment comes at a milestone moment for ArtsWestchester as it celebrates its 60th anniversary year of service to the arts and cultural community.
Reckling explained, “Ruth Zamoyta brings to ArtsWestchester her lifelong love for the arts and 15 years’ experience in development and communications for arts non-profits and higher education. Her strategic communications and fundraising experience will serve ArtsWestchester at this critical time, positioning us well for the future.”
Most recently, Zamoyta was Director of Advancement and Campaign Communications for Seton Hall University, helping the advancement team set the strategy for a major comprehensive campaign. Prior to that, Zamoyta led development efforts at JAZZ HOUSE KiDS in Montclair, NJ, South Orange Performing Arts Center in South Orange, NJ and New Jersey Theatre Alliance, currently headquartered in Toms River, NJ. A native of both Jamaica, Queens, and Saranac Lake, New York, Zamoyta holds degrees from St. John’s University, NYU, and Columbia University. She is an award-winning playwright and poet.
