Alzheimer’s Association to Hold Third Annual Dementia Conference
The third annual Meeting of the Minds regional dementia conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Tarrytown. The conference will feature keynote speakers Dr. Peter Rabins, co-author of “The 36-Hour Day” and co-director of the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Mary Sano, Ph.D., director of the Alzheimer Disease Research Center at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. There will also be breakout sessions on legal and financial issues, pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches to behavioral symptoms, stress reduction, creative approaches to dementia care, advocacy and Spanish-language sessions.
