Jennifer Flowers of Accreditation Guru Receives Visionary Award
Jennifer Flowers, nationally acclaimed founder and CEO of Accreditation Guru, is the new co-chair of Westchester Companies for Kids, which helps improve the lives of children across Westchester County.
In addition, she also received a Visionary Award for her work with nonprofit organizations from the Haitian American Cultural and Social Organization (HACSO), based in Spring Valley, New York.
Westchester Companies for Kids, a service committee of Westchester Children’s Association, engages the business sector to support the association’s mission: to improve the lives of Westchester’s young people by shaping policies and programs to meet their needs and by keeping their well-being at the top of the public agenda. She will co-chair the group with John Tolomer, president and CEO of The Westchester Bank.
Accreditation Guru assists human service agencies across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico to achieve and maintain national accreditation. They also work with a variety of nonprofit organizations in the education, health care, religious and social services sectors to advise boards of directors and develop long-term strategic planning, quality improvement and risk management program design.
In recognition of Accreditation Guru’s effective work with nonprofits, HACSO bestowed Flowers with a Visionary Award at its Visionary Gala ceremony held at the Glen Island Club in New Rochelle, New York.
HACSO provides immigration, citizenship, naturalization, civic responsibility, volunteerism, social and health education and other support services to the Haitian-American community in Rockland County, New York.
