Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Connecticut/Westchester Chapter Hosts IBD Education Conference on February 12, 2026, 5:00pm-8:00pm

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Connecticut/ Westchester Chapter will host a MyIBD Learning event in collaboration with Northwell Health on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Phelps Hospital. Through MyIBD Learning, the Foundation’s signature IBD patient and caregiver education program, attendees will participate in an afternoon of education, community building, and connecting with helpful resources for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Attendees will hear from IBD healthcare experts, connect with other patients and caregivers, and build a local support community. Our panel of speakers includes renowned doctors in the field, such as Dr.Schwartzberg (FACS, FASCRS).

“It is our privilege to be able to serve our IBD patients using all the resources we have from our multidisciplinary IBD Center to provide them with the very best care”. Dr. David Scwartzberg
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is an umbrella term used to describe lifelong conditions that cause chronic inflammation of the digestive tract. The two most common types of IBD are Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, which affect 1 in 100 Americans. Crohn’s disease can affect any part of the digestive tract, while ulcerative colitis specifically targets the large intestine. Both conditions can cause debilitating symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea, fatigue, and weight loss. IBD is a serious condition that can significantly impact a person’s quality of life, but with proper management, many people can achieve and maintain remission, allowing them to live full, active lives.
