5-Day JazzFest White Plains brings World-Class Jazz to Westchester
2025 JazzFest White Plains Comes to Town After Labor Day with a Stellar Lineup, Featuring Kenny Barron Trio, Kurt Elling’s Wildflowers
The 2025 JazzFest White Plains festival will captivate music lovers with performances by the legendary Kenny Barron Trio, Kurt Elling’s Wildflowers featuring Joey Calderazzo, and the Steve Turre Sextet. The five-day jazz celebration from September 10th to 14th will transform downtown White Plains into a vibrant hub of musical artistry, offering a diverse array of performances, many of which are free. Highlights include the visionary improvisations of Craig Taborn, the smooth sounds of Sherry Winston at the Farmers Market, and a special dinner concert at Via Garibaldi featuring the Wycliffe Gordon Quintet at White Plains Plaza.
On Friday, September 12th, attendees can enjoy music by 17-time GRAMMY Nominee and Award-winning vocalist Kurt Elling. In a very special duo performance, Elling will be accompanied by GRAMMY-winning pianist Joey Calderazzo, known for his robust swing and poetic insight. Saturday, September 13th, features the lyricism of Jazz Master Kenny Barron, one of the greatest living pianists in the world, joined by his ironclad trio. Sunday, September 14th, culminates in a free, all-day “Sunday Jazz Alfresco” event, headlined by the unique sound of Steve Turre Sextet, renowned for his trombone and seashell mastery.
Other notable performances include Immanuel Wilkins Quartet, Bertha Hope, April May Webb, and many more. The festival also features local talent, educational opportunities from the Music Conservatory of Westchester, and a jazz stroll through downtown restaurants featuring live music and many dining options.
JazzFest White Plains is presented by Montefiore Einstein. The festival is produced by ArtsWestchester, the City of White Plains and the White Plains BID.
