BCW President and CEO Dr. Marsha Gordon Named “Woman of Distinction”
BCW President and CEO Marsha Gordon was presented with the 2017 Women of Distinction Award bestowed upon exceptional women in New York State whose outstanding contributions have improved the lives of the people in their communities and throughout the state.
The award was presented by State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins on Tuesday in Albany.
“Marsha is an extraordinary and dynamic leader with over twenty-five years of experience,” said Senator Stewart-Cousins. “She leads the largest and most prominent business group in Westchester County, and she has done an excellent job connecting local businesses with other community groups and public servants to ensure they have access to the resources they need. She’s a model businesswoman who brings life and energy to any project she’s involved with.”
Gordon said she was honored to receive such a prestigious award. “This statewide honor from the New York State Senate is a highlight of my professional career,” said Gordon. “Being recognized for my leadership in business and the community is even more meaningful because it is bestowed by Senator Stewart-Cousins, a leader with whom I have had the opportunity to partner over many years.”
