BCW Appoints New Co-Chairs of the Human Resources Council

The Business Council of Westchester, the premier business organization dedicated to economic development and advocacy in Westchester County, has announced the appointment of Allison Madison and Grant Schneider as the new Co-Chairs of the BCW’s Human Resources Council.

Madison is President of Madison Approach Staffing Inc., a full-service firm providing workforce solutions to companies ranging from 5 to 5,000 employees A second-generation recruiter and entrepreneur, Madison started her career in 1996 when she began working at her mother’s staffing company. In 2006, she acquired her mother’s firm and as well as EAB Personnel and, in 2012, Hire Choice Staffing.

A resident of Yorktown Heights, Madison is a member of The Board of Directors of the New York State and Westchester/Putnam Workforce Development Boards. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Business Council’s Education Foundation, past President of the Board of Directors of the New York Staffing Association and former member of the Board of Directors of the Westchester Human Resource Management Association. Madison has been committed to public service since childhood and her commitment to volunteerism has continued into her career.

Schneider is President and Founder of Performance Development Strategies, a company that helps organizations achieve greater results by aligning people in the organization with the organization’s mission and strategy.

The company helps these organizations create change, develop managers and executives, and create high performing teams resulting in engaged employees and loyal customers.

Schneider is a SHRM Certified Senior Professional (SHRM-SCP) as well as a Certified Business Coach (CBC). Prior to starting Performance Development Strategies, he had a 35-year track record in human resources. He is a past president of the Westchester Human Resource Management Association (a SHRM Chapter) and past Executive Director of the New York State Society for Human Resource Management. He has served on the Society for Human Resources’ national panel for HR Metrics and Human Capital Measurement. He teaches the SHRM HR Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) course at Fordham University. Schneider is a resident of Armonk.

Outgoing Co-Chair Gregory Chartier, PhD, owner of the Office of Gregory Chartier, held the Human Resources Council Co-Chair position for the past 16 years.
