BCW and College of Westchester Host Visit from NYS Legislators at the College

BCW Member College of Westchester and BCW Vice President and COO John Ravitz hosted a visit from NYS Legislators at the College. Students and staff had the opportunity to meet and speak with Assembly Members MaryJane Shimsky and Dana Levenberg, along with Donna Chiapperino, Staff Member of Congressmen Mike Lawler’s Office; and Pascale Jean-Gilles, Chief of Staff & Legislative Director of Assembly Member MaryJane Shimsky’s Office.
A tour was given by The College of Westchester President & CEO Mary Beth Del Balzo and Vice President of Student Services and Retention Maris Gangi Following the tour there was an open forum for students, faculty and staff:
Highlights of the Academic Affairs & Students Services was provided by Dr. Warren Rosenberg, Provost & Vice President of Academic Affairs and Maria Gangi, Vice President of Student Services & Retention.
Highlights of Student Life & Career Services was provided by Ms. Janna Gullery, Dean of Student Life; Max Torres, Associate Chair & Assistant Professor, Business Administration, and Lynda Dillard, Career Services Coordinator.
The program concluded with a Student Forum featuring Luana Ayana, Business Administration major of Ossining; Dania A/wadi, Healthcare Services Administration major of Peekskill; Pedro Villa, Digital Media major of White Plains, and Ty Phillip, Digital Media major of Mount Vernon.
The College of Westchester, which is a member of the BCW’s LEAP Program, focuses on the career success of its students. CW’s academic programs are carefully designed to provide the skills and competencies most desired by employers. The campus environment is highly personal, and its culture centers on service to students.
