Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman to Speak at Political Leadership Series
New York’s top law enforcement official, Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman, kicks-off the BCW’s fall Political Leadership Series on Thursday, September 14 with a look at the interesting cases he is prosecuting as well as the other initiatives his office undertakes to protect New Yorkers.
Since taking office, Attorney General Schneiderman has been an aggressive prosecutor, taking on high-profile cases such as the sentencing of a major heroin trafficker in Dutchess County, several public corruption cases and the creation of the homeownership protection program which helped New Yorkers at risk of foreclosure stay in their homes.
As Attorney General, Schneiderman is responsible for protecting the rights of New Yorkers, and enforcing and implementing a range of policies including worker’s rights. He will discuss policies and programs he oversees to help businesses across the state including:
- An update on the key priorities his office is implementing on critical issues facing New Yorkers.
- The role his office plays in dealing with the Trump Administration policies and agenda.
- The role his office plays in governance issues for the state’s not-for-profit community.
