Westchester Ballet Company Announces Olive Opera House as New Home During Celebratory Gala
The Westchester Ballet Company, a BCW member, has announced a transformative new chapter in its history, unveiling the historic Olive Opera House in Ossining as its new permanent home during a special gala celebration held on June 3.
The announcement marks a significant milestone for the company and for the arts community throughout Westchester County. Located in the heart of Ossining, the Olive Opera House will serve as the organization’s artistic headquarters, providing a dedicated space for performances, educational programming, rehearsals, and community engagement initiatives.
The June 3 gala brought together artists, patrons, elected officials, community leaders, and supporters to celebrate both the company’s continued growth and its vision for the future. The evening highlighted the important role the arts play in strengthening communities while showcasing the exciting possibilities that lie ahead for the Westchester Ballet Company in its new home.
A special highlight of the gala was the presence of distinguished artists from the prestigious American Ballet Theatre. Among those attending were Principal Dancer Herman Cornejo and ABT artist Ingrid Thoms.
Guests were also treated to a special performance by ABT dancers Jarod Curley and Lea Fleytoux, whose artistry helped make the evening a memorable celebration of excellence in dance.
