Oct. 20-22 International Women’s Leadership Conference coming to the Hudson

Registration is now available for the international women’s leadership conference, Becoming ATHENA: Leading the Way. This first-ever Hudson Valley event is being presented by ATHENA International, the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce and its Women’s Leadership Alliance, The Chamber Foundation, Inc., and Dutchess Tourism, with support from KeyBank and its Key4Women program, as well as many other regional businesses and organizations.

The Conference will take place from October 20-22 at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel and Conference Center, with a special awards ceremony on October 21 at The Grandview.

Complete information, including a schedule, list of dynamic speakers and awards recipients, sponsors, and related excursions, is available at becomingathena.org. Early bird registration pricing is available until August 31.

ATHENA International is a global non-profit organization dedicated to developing women leaders “from the classroom to the boardroom,” through leadership training. The ATHENA Leadership Model identifies eight distinct attributes that are reflective of women’s contributions to leadership: living authentically, learning constantly, advocating fiercely, acting courageously, fostering collaboration, building relationships, giving back and celebrating. These personal traits, combined with the strongest aspects of traditional leadership— taking risks, assertiveness, and hard work—prepare women to be successful leaders in the 21st century. The prestigious ATHENA award is given to women who embody these qualities.

Besides the signature ATHENA Awards ceremony, which will honor a global recipient, a national recipient, and local community members who exemplify the ATHENA model, this unique conference will offer discussions from prominent speakers, networking breakout sessions, and actionable and relevant panels.

Conference attendees will have the opportunity to become inspired by a variety of professionals from diverse backgrounds, educations, and experiences. The impact of this selection of professionals is an opportunity for the community to create lasting relationships with authentic leaders and experience a unique journey full of energy and passion in an entrepreneurial and corporate setting.

Follow Facebook and Instagram posts (both @BecomingAthenaHV) and visit becomingathena.org to learn all about the mission, featured speakers, award recipients, excursions and tours, the conference schedule, and registration packages.
