Hudson Valley Graphic Design Wins Graphic Design USA Award

Local design firm Hudson Valley Graphic Design based in Croton on Hudson has recently been named a 2017 Graphic Design USA Health + Wellness Design Award recipient. For more than five decades, Graphic Design USA has sponsored competitions to spotlight areas of excellence and opportunity for creative professionals in the design field.  Hudson Valley Graphic Design was presented with this years’ award in the Health and Wellness category for their graphic design work on behalf of client Bear Hill Botanicals, a natural skincare company based in Westchester County. Hudson Valley Graphic Design also won in 2017 for their branding design for their client True Cocktails. Last year the design firm also won the Graphic Design USA Award for their branding and logo design work for the WillYUM Spice Company also locally based in Ossining.

The talented design team at Hudson Valley Graphic Design has created hundreds of logos and brands for businesses for the past 30 years and chose to submit this particular branding project based on Bear Hill Botanicals’ mission and all natural and organic approach.  “The team at HVGD enjoyed working with this company that enhances the quality of life with clean, vibrant skincare products that are all natural and all made in the USA,” said Janeen Violante, Owner and Lead Designer at HVGD. According to Graphic Design USA this competition encompasses the big picture of healthcare: traditional medical industries such as doctors and nurses, hospitals and nursing homes pharmaceuticals and insurance, senior care and aging, mental health and counseling; healthy lifestyles such as fitness and exercise, organic foods and natural products, life and work balance, meditation and spirituality; and public health and community education initiatives.   “GDUSA has presented competitions for more than 50 years that focus on areas of growth and opportunity for graphic design. In 2017, that’s the perfect description of health and wellness, the fastest-growing segment of the economy and the epicenter of the national conversation,” said a spokesperson for GDUSA. “It’s a great opportunity to be recognized by clients, prospects and the community for design, advertising and marketing excellence in an area of ultimate importance, fundamental transformation, and robust growth.”

Hudson Valley Graphic Design was one of almost 10,000 entries submitted for this annual award and was selected by a professional panel of judges who chooses the best of the best and awarded a Certificate of Excellence to the top 15 percent. Graphic Design USA’s American Graphic Design Awards is their original and flagship competition, open to the entire community including design firms, ad agencies, corporations, non-profits, freelancers, students and more. It honors outstanding work of all kinds and across all media. “Receiving this distinction is quite an honor not only for our design team at Hudson Valley Graphic Design but also for our client Bear Hill Botanicals and their vast line of products that represent Health and Wellness,” added Violante. “To be recognized for two consecutive years by our peers and by a national graphic design company sets us apart from our competition and exemplifies the quality branding work we produce on a daily basis for all our clients.”
