Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle’s Board of Directors Elects New Leadership, Adding Role Models Who Blend Character, Professional Success and Life Achievement
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., Oct. 20, 2025 – The Board of Directors of Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle has elected new leadership and added a new member, all committed to advancing the life-changing success of the Club, which in 2024 set a record with more than 10,000 youths served.
The Board is now led by Interim President Sheldon Pride, an educator and business data analyst. The Board’s Vice President is Tim McChristian, recently retired CEO of New York City’s Madison Square Boys & Girls Club. Nicole Bell-Simon, who has extensive experience in financial services, was elected Treasurer. Jacquetta Hogan, Executive Vice President at USI Insurance Services LLC, assumes the duties of Corresponding Secretary for the 13-member Board. Corporate marketing and branding executive Jessica Nelson-Clark also joins the Board of Directors.
“The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle’s energetic and caring Board of Directors provides crucial vision for our Club’s transformative educational and growth experiences for youths,” said Club CEO Becky Mazzanobile. “The Board’s vital insights on scaling our organization drive how more youths can benefit from our supportive environments and comprehensive opportunities. As such, Board members are essential contributors to how our youths can attain their dreams.”
Pride, a faculty member in Monroe College’s School of Business and Accounting, earned his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and a master’s degree and doctorate degree from the University of Virginia. He has served on the Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors for six years.
“I am honored to assume the role of Interim President of the Board,” Pride said. “The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle provides exceptional programs that provide mentorship, enrichment and skill-building that set the stage for life and career success. Investments in youths are an investment in their futures, providing an essential roadmap so they can lead and thrive as they attain life, education and career fulfillment.”
Through the support of the A Better Chance program, McChristian attended Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass. He received his bachelor’s degree in Organizational Behavior from Yale University, followed by an MBA in Finance from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. As an IBM Corp. executive, he oversaw global sales and product organizations in the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. He also has been a Board member of several influential youth organizations, including the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.
“I am thrilled to bring my years of executive and nonprofit experience to the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle,” said McChristian, who also serves on the City of New Rochelle Mayor’s Teen Advocacy Committee. “I am committed to amplifying youth voices, fostering inclusive opportunities and providing access to resources to develop positive outcomes. My 35 years of senior leadership roles in corporate America has provided additional strengths in strategic planning, opportunity development and organizational leadership. I see bright futures for the youths of New Rochelle and am delighted to help them attain their dreams.”
Bell-Simon has been on the Board for eight years. “It is incredibly rewarding to see our youths develop character and life skills while embracing how to achieve academic success as a pathway for career development and college readiness,” she said.
Hogan, USI Insurance Services LLC’s Executive Vice President and Regional Director of EB Account Management and Operations, is a respected leader recognized for her visionary approach. She oversees account management and operations for USI’s Northeast region, with a focus on growth, retention and collaboration. With more than 15 years of experience in client management and strategic consultation, Hogan is dedicated to ensuring that USI service processes consistently meet quality standards. She was raised and lives in the Remington community and is a member of the Club’s Remington Clubhouse’s Women’s Auxiliary.
“The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle is a vital community resource that, through a variety of strategic mentoring, programs and opportunities, cultivates how young people build the knowledge and confidence to pursue careers and lives that explore their full potential,” she said.
Nelson-Clark, US Head of Customer and Marketing for US International Wealth and Premier Banking at HSBC, is a customer-centric global brand marketing leader with proven results in growing revenue and market share. Nelson-Clark’s portfolio includes innovative product launches, breakthrough campaigns and engagement strategies that drive affinity and advocacy with target audiences.
