New Rochelle, in Partnership with Soulful Synergy, Launches Workforce Development Program

BCW Member Soulful Synergy, in partnership with the City of New Rochelle and New Rochelle Forward, launched its 2025 workforce development programming at an open house and networking event this week. The program is designed to build the capacity of individuals to effectively compete for the opportunities created by the unprecedented development boom in the New Rochelle and beyond,
NR Forward connects participants to certification courses, hands-on training, career readiness, case management and job placement services, as well as a network of local developers, contractors, and community leaders.

Through targeted training initiatives and strategic partnerships – as we are highlighting today with NR Forward and Soulful Synergy – we are preparing our community members for long-term career success, while ensuring our City has the skilled labor force needed to support continued progress,” said Mayor Yadira Ramos-Herbert.
The first open house event and networking event of the year was held at NR Forward, 173 Huguenot St. Suite 210 in downtown New Rochelle. The program featured a networking lunch, followed by a program introduction by the Mayor, the City Manager, and the Commissioner of Development, and program details by Soulful Synergy. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with developers and contractors about upcoming projects and hiring needs and concluded with facilitated networking. Training for the first cohort of this year will begin on April 14 and run for six weeks. “
