BCW Executives Get Behind-the-Scenes Look at Innovation in Machinery Manufacturing at REELEX Facility

BCW President & CEO Dr. Marsha Gordon and BCW Executive Vice President & COO John Ravitz recently visited new BCW member, REELEX, at its 55,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Paterson, NY.
REELEX, the world-renowned manufacturer of wire and cable coiling technology, provided an exclusive company briefing and plant tour. The day offered a glimpse into the operations of this industry leader, whose commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainability has set the standard since its founding just after World War II.
“We were truly honored to host the BCW leadership and provide them with an inside look at our operations,” said REELEX’s CEO, David Gerhart. “Their visit was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the dedication of our team, the innovation driving our technology, and the values that have guided us since our founding – a great New York State manufacturing story. Joining the BCW and meeting the team reinforces our commitment to excellence as we continue representing the leading manufacturers and exporters headquartered in New York State.”
The executives toured REELEX’s expansive manufacturing facility, where they met the engineers and machinists behind the machines revolutionizing the wire and cable industry. Each step of the process—from design to production—showcased REELEX’s focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
REELEX is known not only for its technical innovation, but also for its advanced safety protocols. Every machine on the shop floor is equipped with state-of-the-art safety features. Sustainability is another cornerstone of REELEX’s operations, with initiatives that reduce waste in the manufacturing and wire and cable installation process.
As the company grows, REELEX is exploring plans to expand its current space with a build out to ensure it continues to meet the needs of its growing customer base while supporting the local economy.
