Changing Energy Landscape Focus of BCW Conference

The Business Council of Westchester (BCW) will convene thought leaders, policy makers and innovators at its annual energy conference on January 18.

Powershift: Today’s Changing Energy Landscape is a half-day exploration of the evolving energy sector and its profound impact on businesses. The morning event will be held at the Sonesta White Plains.

“The global landscape is in the midst of a transformative shift towards sustainable and efficient energy solutions,” said John Ravitz, the BCW’s Executive Vice President and COO. “The BCW recognizes the critical importance of fostering dialogue and collaboration. This conference is designed to address the challenges and opportunities presented by the changing energy sector. It will feature an impressive lineup of keynote speakers and representatives from state agencies who will be leading the state’s energy transformation.”

The conference will address the rapid evolution of renewable energy sources and the need to maintain traditional energy sources to ensure power reliability during the green transition. Experts from diverse fields, including clean energy executives and state officials, will share insights into the latest advancements, emerging trends, and the role of businesses in embracing sustainable energy alternatives.

Additionally, the conference will shed light on the implications of technological innovations such as smart grids and energy storage solutions for optimizing energy consumption. Attendees can expect to gain valuable perspectives on how these technologies can enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future. Businesses will also learn about state programs and grants to help them in their sustainability efforts.

The Powershift conference will also serve as a platform for networking and collaboration. Attendees can engage in meaningful discussions, forge strategic partnerships, and explore potential collaborations to drive positive change within the energy sector and Westchester County.
