Executives of Target and Marx Realty joined with State and City officials on Tuesday to celebrate the grand opening of Target’s new store at BCW Member Cross County Center in Yonkers. Attending the event was BCW President and CEO Marsha Gordon.

Located at 8000 Mall Walk, the 132,000-square-foot store, which officially opens Sunday, October 22, will offer shoppers a wide assortment of Target’s top owned and national brands spanning essentials, pet merchandise and much more. There is a Drive Up, Order Pickup, and same-day delivery with Shipt services. The store also includes a CVS pharmacy and Starbucks location. Shoppers will be able to add their favorite Starbucks menu item to a Drive Up order and have it delivered to their car at stores offering the retailer’s free Drive Up service.

“We’re excited to bring the joy of Target to new guests and help them discover a unique shopping experience tailored to the needs of the Yonkers community,” said Rafael Martinez, store director of the new Yonkers Cross County Center Target store.

“The people of Yonkers couldn’t be more proud and more excited. The people in the region are going to come here and are going to make this part of their experience. This is what’s great about Yonkers,” said Mayor Mike Spano.

Target has been an active partner in the greater New York City area since opening our first store in 1997. The Yonkers location will be the 99th store in the greater New York City area, which all together employs approximately 21,145 team members. The Yonkers store is creating 290 new jobs.

Target operates nearly 2,000 Target stores nationwide, and this year, we plan to open 20 stores all varying in size to meet the needs of the communities we serve all over the country. In 2022 in the New York area, Target donated over $10 million in cash and products, including over 4.8 million pounds of food to local food banks, and our team members volunteered over 32,000 hours in the community.
