The Osborn Pavilion Receives Top Rating from CMS
The Osborn Pavilion announced it has received an overall 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The rating is based on a nursing home’s performance on health inspections, staffing, and quality measures.
“Families want their loved ones to receive the best possible skilled nursing care, and this recognition from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services certainly provides them with additional assurances of The Pavilion’s high quality,” said Osborn President and CEO Matthew G. Anderson. “We are proud of our exceptional staff in The Pavilion, which offers excellent short-term rehab and long-term care for residents.”
The Pavilion in Rye is part of the renowned Osborn senior living community, which provides a continuum of care for seniors. Located on a bucolic arboretum campus, The Pavilion offers a peaceful, healing environment for patients and families.
Board-certified physicians from Northeast Medical Group, part of Yale New Haven Health System, along with a top-notch group of registered nurses, nurse practitioners, CNAs, dieticians and therapists, manage and deliver the highest level of care to residents. The Osborn Pavilion also offers outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy for the outside community. In addition to the CMS recognition, The Osborn Pavilion skilled nursing and short-stay (sub-acute) rehabilitation center was named one of New York’s top performing nursing homes by U.S. News & World Report.
CMS created the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help consumers, their families, and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily and identify areas about which they may want to ask questions. The Nursing Home Care Compare web site features a quality rating system that gives each nursing home a rating of between 1 and 5 stars. Nursing homes with 5 stars are considered to have much above average quality and nursing homes with 1 star are considered to have quality much below average.
