BCW Welcomes New Pace University President
BCW Member Pace University announced this week the appointment of Marvin Krislov as its eighth president, succeeding outgoing President Stephen Friedman. Kislov, President of Oberlin College, will take the helm at Pace University on August 1.
“We welcome Marvin Krislov and applaud the choice of such an accomplished scholar and passionate advocate of higher education to lead Pace University into the future,’’ said BCW President and CEO Marsha Gordon. “We look forward to having the same cordial and productive relationship we have had with President Stephen Friedman, who we wish the best of luck, and thank him for his many substantial contributions to Pace and the community during his tenure.”
Krislov, who has been president of Oberlin College in Ohio since 2007, was selected after a search and interviews by a 15-member search committee at the school. “Krislov is the ideal person to lead Pace into a new era of growth and build on the renewal and revitalization that Pace has experienced under Steve Friedman,” said Mark Besca, Pace’s board chairman in a statement to the community. “Marvin has demonstrated throughout his career the strong, effective, enlightened, and passionate leadership to propel Pace to a new level of impact and stature.”
