Members of the BCW’s Rising Stars volunteered to serve dinner at this year’s ANDRUS holiday dinner. ANDRUS, a not-for-profit organization that serves more than 4,500 children and families each year, held a holiday party for children, families and staff on December 18 at its facility in Yonkers. This year’s event included, horse drawn carriage rides, live music, holiday games and crafts, a visit from Santa and dinner served by the Business Council of Westchester’s Rising Stars Leadership Council and Alumni. Every year, the Rising Stars chooses a charitable organization to support as part of its community service program. This year, ANDRUS was the group’s choice.

The BCW’s Rising Stars program is modeled after the national business recognition program “Forty under Forty.” The Rising Stars program is designed to recognize individuals under the age of 40 who exemplify leadership, foresight and a vision for the future of Westchester County. Winners are selected based on professional and/or entrepreneurial accomplishments, demonstrated leadership qualities and professional and/or business affiliations.
