New Rochelle Workforce Initiative Secures State Support, Expanding Opportunities for Local Residents

BCW member Soulful Synergy announced that they had received new state funding aimed at expanding job training opportunities in the region. Soulful Synergy, led by co-founders Alejandro Alvarez and Dwayne Norris, both BCW Rising Star Alumni, will use the funding to further its mission of preparing residents for careers in construction, clean energy, and other high-demand industries.
The new program, developed in partnership with the City of New Rochelle, connects participants with hands-on training, certifications, and direct pathways to employment. Through initiatives like New Rochelle Forward, residents gain access to career readiness services, job placement support, and connections to local employers and developers driving the city’s growth.
Soulful Synergy has built a strong reputation for delivering impactful workforce training, particularly in underserved communities. Its programs are designed to meet the evolving needs of industries tied to infrastructure and clean energy, sectors experiencing rapid growth across New York State.
As New Rochelle continues its economic expansion, initiatives like Soulful Synergy’s workforce training programs are playing a critical role in ensuring that local residents are equipped to benefit from new opportunities. With additional state support, the organization is poised to scale its impact, helping to build a more inclusive and skilled workforce for the future.
