BCW Member WMCHealth Named to City & State’s 2026 Hall of Fame

The Business Council of Westchester is proud to celebrate BCW member Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) for being named to City & State New York’s 2026 Hall of Fame: 20 Years of Impact in New York, recognizing organizations and leaders whose achievements have helped shape New York over the past two decades.

Created in celebration of City & State’s 20th anniversary, the Hall of Fame recognizes 42 honorees across more than a dozen sectors, including healthcare, economic and workforce development, energy, education, technology, housing and real estate, and transportation and infrastructure. WMCHealth was selected as a nonprofit honoree in the Healthcare category.

Since its formation in 2015, WMCHealth has grown into an essential healthcare network serving approximately 2.5 million Hudson Valley residents. The Valhalla-based system encompasses nine hospitals across seven campuses and 60 ambulatory care sites, supported by nearly 13,500 healthcare workers and 3,000 attending physicians.

The network is also home to critical healthcare resources that serve patients throughout the region, including the Hudson Valley’s only Level I adult and pediatric trauma center, an advanced care children’s hospital and the only dedicated burn center between New York City and Canada.

WMCHealth continues to invest in the future of healthcare throughout the Hudson Valley. Last fall, the network was awarded up to $100 million through the New York State Department of Health’s Safety Net Transformation Program to support the integration of healthcare facilities in Rockland County and the Hudson Valley. Its flagship Westchester Medical Center is also undergoing construction on a five-story, $220 million critical care tower that will include 128 intensive care rooms.

For BCW, WMCHealth’s inclusion in the Hall of Fame represents an important recognition of the institutions making a lasting impact not only on Westchester, but across New York State. Access to advanced healthcare, continued investment in medical infrastructure and a strong healthcare workforce are integral to the strength and vitality of our region.
