BCW Member Pace University Announces Robert “Bobby” Ahdieh as Ninth President

The Business Council of Westchester (BCW) is proud to recognize member Pace University on the announcement of Robert “Bobby” Ahdieh as its ninth president, effective January 1, 2027. A distinguished legal scholar and transformational leader in higher education, Ahdieh will bring extensive experience in academic innovation, institutional growth and workforce development to one of Westchester’s leading educational institutions.

Ahdieh was unanimously elected by Pace University’s Board of Trustees following a comprehensive national search. He will succeed President Marvin Krislov, who will conclude nearly a decade of leadership at the university at the end of 2026.

Ahdieh joins Pace from Texas A&M University, where he held several prominent leadership positions, including Dean of Texas A&M University School of Law, Vice President for Professional Schools and Programs, and Chief Operating Officer of Texas A&M–Fort Worth.

During his tenure at Texas A&M, Ahdieh led a remarkable transformation of the university’s law school, advancing its national ranking from 83rd to 22nd, more than quadrupling enrollment and significantly improving student outcomes. He also spearheaded the development of a $1 billion-plus innovation campus in Fort Worth, designed to strengthen partnerships between higher education and industry through research, innovation and workforce development.

“New York is where my family’s American dream began, and Pace’s motto – Opportunitas – resonates deeply with me,” said Ahdieh. “I cannot wait to work alongside Pace’s students, faculty, staff, and communities both in New York City and Westchester — who make the University what it is today — and together take it to even greater heights.”

With campuses in New York City and Westchester County, Pace University serves approximately 13,600 students and plays an important role in preparing the next generation of professionals, innovators and business leaders.

As a valued BCW member, Pace University contributes to the strength of Westchester’s educational and economic landscape. Its commitment to academic excellence, career readiness and meaningful partnerships between education and industry closely aligns with BCW’s mission to foster economic opportunity, innovation and a thriving regional workforce.

BCW congratulates President-elect Ahdieh on his appointment and looks forward to Pace University’s continued success and contributions to the Westchester business community under his leadership.
