Balancing Life’s Issues Achieves Prestigious B Corp Recertification

BCW Member Balancing Life’s Issues (BLI), a national leader in corporate wellness and work-life integration training, has announced its successful recertification as a Certified B Corporation, proving once again that doing business ethically, sustainably, and with heart is not just possible — it’s essential.
The B Corp recertification process demands rigorous transparency, data tracking, and proof that a company meets the highest standards of social and environmental impact. From equitable pay and trainer diversity to sustainable operations and responsible governance, every corner of BLI’s business was examined under a microscope — and passed.
“This certification is more than a badge. It reflects who we are,” said Wendy Wollner, CEO of Balancing Life’s Issues. “We don’t exist to maximize shareholder value. We exist to maximize human value. Our clients, our trainers, our employees — they deserve to know we’re walking the talk.”
BLI extends deep gratitude to Doug Singer, partner at Falcon Rappaport & Berkman LLP and head of the Social Enterprise & Impact Investing Practice Group. “Doug didn’t just help us navigate the process — he helped us stand stronger in our mission. We couldn’t have done this without him,” Wollner added.
In a world grappling with burnout, polarization, and distrust in institutions, BLI believes that companies must be a force for good. Being a B Corp holds BLI accountable not only to profits but to people and the planet. It’s a north star that drives every decision — from whom BLI hires to how it measures impact in the lives of employees across the country.
Founded with the belief that thriving employees build thriving businesses, BLI has trained over 1 million individuals through evidence-based workshops on mental health, resilience, DEIB, and leadership. With a national network of 800 trainers, BLI supports organizations from startups to Fortune 500s with training and consulting that actually sticks.
In 2016, Wollner received the prestigious Women in Business Success Award from the BCW’s Hall of Fame.
