Accounting Firms Joining Forces to Expand Presence in Region

Two of Westchester’s leading accounting firms are joining forces to expand their presence in the NYC region. BCW Member Citrin Cooperman, named #18 on the “Top 100 Firms” list by Accounting Today, has announced the successful acquisition of BCW Member Maier Markey & Justic LLP (MMJ), a White Plains based CPA firm. MMJ will join Citrin Cooperman with four partners and over 40 total employees and will expand the firm’s established presence in the NYC metro region.
With a strong focus in providing outsourced accounting, controllership, CFO, human resources, and taxation services to clients in the not-for-profit, distribution, and professional services industries, the addition of MMJ bolsters Citrin Cooperman’s growing Business Process Outsourcing Practice, which currently provides outsourced solutions to real estate, professional services, financial services, not-for-profit, and healthcare clients across the country.
“MMJ is fantastically aligned with our firm in both service offerings and industry expertise,” commented Citrin Cooperman CEO Alan Badey and Managing Partner of Citrin Cooperman’s Business Process Outsourcing Practice Mike Zyborowicz in a joint statement. “Their team of professionals are incredibly skilled at providing the high quality, strategic guidance our clients have come to expect from Citrin Cooperman, and we look forward to continuing to expand these offerings in the NYC metro area.”
MMJ Partner Anthony “Tony” Justic commented, “As one of MMJ’s first official employees, I feel tremendously proud of how our firm and team have grown to become what we are today. To be in a position to join Citrin Cooperman not only provides a wealth of opportunities for growth and advancement to our professionals but brings a wide range of new and exciting services to our clients, ensuring a successful future for their personal and professional endeavors.”
