TFA’s John P. Genn Moves to Expanded Position
Tompkins Financial Advisors (TFA) has announced an expanded role for Senior Trust Officer and Vice President, John P. Genn III.
In his new position, Genn handles not only the administration of new trust and estate accounts under his purview, but also those of existing trust and estate accounts with TFA in the Hudson Valley and southern Pennsylvania.
As appropriate, Genn works with TFA investment officers and administrators in his continued work securing new clients and implementing all aspects of the administration of trust and estate plans for new as well as existing accounts.
“Helping our clients make educated decisions about their trust and estate plans is rewarding because it enables each one to realize his or her ultimate goals,” said Genn. “I appreciate being an integral part of that process and being able to further support the TFA team from this new position.”
Genn has more than 30 years of industry experience and has been with TFA since 2015, including developing effective estate planning strategies for his clients, and working closely with their legal, tax and investment advisors to design, implement and administer appropriate trust and estate plans. He holds a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation along with an Accredited Estate Planner® designation and is a board member of both the Hudson Valley Estate Planning Council and Astor Services for Children & Families, for which he’s also a member of the finance committee. Genn also is member of Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Action Committee, and a member of the Estate Planning Council of Putnam County, for which he served as a past president. He resides with his wife in Pawling, NY, and is an elected officer with the St. John’s Knights of Columbus, where he’s been a member for 15 years.
