Ronald McDonald House Appoints New Board Member
Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley (RMHGHV) recently announced the appointment of Michael P. Enea, Esq. as a new board member effective last month. Enea is an associate attorney at Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP. where he focuses his practice on federal and New York estate tax minimization planning; wills, trusts & estates; and elder law. Enea joins a board of directors made up of 13 members from throughout Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess Counties and Connecticut.
RMHGHV, located just steps away from the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, provides a home away from home for families of sick children. When families face medical challenges the House offers an atmosphere of comfort, hope and courage, keeping them close to the care and resources they need. The House has 12 bedrooms that are filled to capacity almost every night and provides meals, laundry and respite services for families during their stay. According to Enea, joining the board of RMHGHV allows him the direct opportunity to give back to the community and also help the organization continue to thrive. His own personal experiences have led him to focus on causes that he believes are important as he grows and develops his own career path.
“Within the last few months I have personally known of two families who have needed to spend numerous weeks in the hospital with their infants. I could only imagine the heart ache they are going through so soon after giving birth, and not wanting to head back to their home miles away from the hospital,” said Enea. “The Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley strives to ease these burdens and I now truly understand the value that it provides and how funds are allocated to make life just a little bit easier for families who are solely focused on the health of their children. As a new Board Member, I am excited to assist the organization in their growth and help as many families as possible.”
Enea is presently completing his studies for a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University. Mr. Enea is admitted to practice law in New York and Florida. He received a B.A. in Legal Studies from Quinnipiac University, graduating magna cum laude, and a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude and was an associate managing editor of the St. John’s Law Review. An active member of the legal community, Enea is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the New York State Bar Association (Trust & Estates and Elder Law & Special Needs sections), the American Bar Association, and the Westchester County Bar Association. His expertise and commitment to client service were recognized when he was named a Rising Star in Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers Metro New York list for 2023 and 2024.
