Hudson Valley Graphic Design Wins American Design Award

Local design firm Hudson Valley Graphic Design based in Croton on Hudson has recently been named a 2016 American Graphic Design Awards recipient by Graphic Design USA. For more than five decades, Graphic Design USA has sponsored competitions to spotlight areas of excellence and opportunity for creative professionals in the design field. Hudson Valley Graphic Design was presented the award for their graphic design work on behalf of client WillYUM Spice also locally based in Ossining. The WillYUM Spice Company which launched this past year offers unique alternatives to fresh flavors with all natural spice sets available through their website.
The talented design team at Hudson Valley Graphic Design has created hundreds of logos and brands for businesses for the past 20 years and chose to submit this particular branding project for many reasons including the interesting story behind the brand and the young couple’s entrepreneurial spirit. The newlyweds behind WillYUM Spice discovered their love for cooking while dating and set out to give their wedding guests a memorable and useful gift of hand blended spices created in their own kitchen. The demand for more from family and friends kept coming in and eventually the unique product and brand was born. Hudson Valley Graphic Design created their trendy logo incorporating a heart in the center of the W to symbolize their love of cooking and the couples’ wedding date on either side. “The team at HVGD enjoyed working with this young couple and was inspired by their great story that led to this unique brand. Their product logo and design was the perfect fit for this all American award,” said Janeen Violante, Owner and Lead Designer at HVGD.
Hudson Valley Graphic Design was one of almost 10,000 entries submitted for this annual award and was selected by a professional panel of judges who chooses the best of the best and awarded a Certificate of Excellence to the top 15 percent. Graphic Design USA’s American Graphic Design Awards is their original and flagship competition, open to the entire community including design firms, ad agencies, corporations, non-profits, freelancers, students and more. It honors outstanding work of all kinds and across all media. “Receiving this distinction is quite an honor not only for our design team at Hudson Valley Graphic Design but also for our client Will YUM Spice and their branding program and logo that was chosen as a winner from thousands of entries,” added Violante. “To be recognized by our peers and by a national graphic design company sets us apart from our competition and exemplifies the quality branding work we produce on a daily basis for all our clients.”
