An Exciting Year for Valerie Wilson Travel

More than thirty-five years later, Valerie Wilson Travel has a story to tell. When the company was founded in September 1981, with just three people in New York City’s Pan Am Building, never did we imagine the achievement, growth, and world-renowned reputation that Valerie Wilson Travel enjoys today. Founder, Owner, Chairman & CEO Valerie Ann Wilson owns and manages VWT with her daughters, Co-Owners and Co-Presidents, Jennifer Wilson-Buttigieg and Kimberly Wilson Wetty. VWT continues to be headquartered in New York City and has grown to multiple offices nationwide with a network of over 315 Travel Advisors and Associates, as well as, access to local onsite contacts in 75 countries. We count on diversification in the marketplace, based on four units – Business, Leisure, Meetings & Incentives, and Fulfillment – for growth and robustness. Additionally, we host Associates and assist them to develop and grow their business by leveraging the VWT brand. All VWT locations are proud and active members of Virtuoso® – the travel industry’s leading luxury network. Every year since 1998, the agency has been counted among Travel Weekly’s Top 50 Travel Agencies, and most recently as the 33rd largest in the United States.

This has truly been a banner year for VWT, and we are very proud of the following five accomplishments:

1. Celebrating VWT’s 35th Anniversary
2. Valerie Ann Wilson being honored as Woman of the Year by BCW
3. County Executive Rob Astorino declaring March 23rd as VWT Day in Westchester County
4. Making the A-List in the Westchester County Business Journal
5. Being Awarded Best Travel Agency in Westchester Magazine’s 2017 Best of Westchester Awards

We would like to sincerely thank the Business Council of Westchester for the overwhelming and continuous support. All of us at VWT are extremely grateful, and we look forward to continuing to serve Westchester County for many years to come! If you have any questions or would like to know more about VWT, please reach out to Harley Riak (HarleyR@vwti.com), your contact for Westchester County.
