To be eligible for the CARES Act scholarships, a worker must be employed outside the home in an essential occupation, have income under 300% of the Federal Poverty Level, and either has or would like to enroll a child or children in a child care or after school program regulated by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services.  These scholarships cover the period from April 20th to May 31st.

For the Westchester Community Foundation and RXR COVID Relief Fund scholarships, a worker must also be employed outside the home in an essential occupation and either has or would like to enroll a child or children in a child care or after school program regulated by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services. The income ceiling is a little higher than for CARES, up to 85% of State Median Income. Applicants are expected to apply for the child care subsidy administered by the Westchester County Department of Social Services, for continuation of child care financial assistance.
