Chazen Announces 13 Summer Internships Across New York Offices

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (July 9, 2019) – The Chazen Companies is proud to announce the addition of 13 summer interns in the fields of municipal engineering, land development, structural engineering, surveying and planning. The 13 interns come from a variety of different backgrounds and schools and join Chazen with a shared goal of exploring a career path and gaining valuable work experience. They are based in the Hudson Valley, Capital District, North Country, and Westchester offices.

Chazen extends a warm welcome back to Alyssa Burnell and Haley Bigando of Syracuse University, and Christian Rohrmeier of RPI, who are three returning interns from previous summers. Chazen would also like to welcome the addition of 10 new interns, including Briana Fitzgerald of SUNY ESF, Dominic Savona of Manhattan College, Jay Lawrence of Alfred State College, Susan Paul, Jarrod Rizzi and Long Nguyen of SUNY Buffalo, Schuyler Gratto of RPI, Ryan Brown of SUNY Albany, Abigail Reid of Cornell University, and Erin Doyle of Saint Mary’s College and University of Notre Dame, Indiana.

Each intern is given mentorship from Chazen’s professionals, hands-on experiences, meaningful work, and is held accountable to expectations. Over the years, the program has proven to be successful with five former interns hired to full-time positions within the last year.

“We are extremely excited to welcome our interns who are joining us for the summer” said Rick Loewenstein, Chief Operating Officer, The Chazen Companies. “We hope that their hands-on experience will be helpful to them as they continue their academic careers.”
