Wegmans Closes Deal for Harrison Location
Wegmans Food Markets closed its deal this week to purchase a 20-acre parcel at 106-110 Corporate Park Drive. The Business Council of Westchester has long been a proponent of Wegmans locating in the county.
“Wegmans has a great reputation and will make an excellent addition to Corporate Park Drive, helping to serve all the area residents who will be moving in as the I-287 corridor shifts from corporate headquarters to residential development,’’ said Marsha Gordon, President and CEO of the Business Council of Westchester.
Wegmans received final planning approval in August from Harrison to build a 125,000-square-foot store on the site, formerly owned by Normandy Real Estate Partners. It will replace three outdated office buildings on Corporate Park Drive. The grocery chain still needs a series of municipal approvals, including one from Harrison’s Engineering Department as well as a demolition permit for office buildings with the Building Department.
