Bright Energy Services Certified as Green Business

L-R: Scott Fernqvist, WGB Program Director; Dani Glaser, WGB Program Director; Mayor Tom Roach, City of White Plains; Deputy County Executive Kevin Plunkett; Bonnie Hagan, COO, Bright Energy Services; Marsha Gordon, President and CEO, The Business Council of Westchester.

Westchester Green Business, along with program partners The Business Council of Westchester, Westchester County and special guest White Plains Mayor Tom Roach, celebrated Bright Energy Services becoming Green Business Certified at their White Plains office on October 19.

Bright Energy Services submission for Green Business Certification demonstrated extensive accomplishments across all program areas.  Bright Energy installed Energy Star rated equipment, was the first tenant in their building to install LED lighting and engaged their landlord in conversation about building related issues managed by them.

“By becoming a certified green business, Bright Energy Services is modeling the same best practices that you offer your clients as an energy and environmental consultant,” stated Dani Glaser as the Green Business Certification was presented. “Your company has helped many members of Westchester Green Business to address energy improvements and we know that this opportunity will only grow in the future.”

Bright Energy Services deploys tailored energy efficiency solutions and leverages renewable energy technologies allowing their clients to cut energy costs, meet regulatory requirements, manage their emission portfolios and reduce their carbon footprint.

“Because we do this for our clients, we want to also do this for ourselves.  We want to walk the talk.  Not only concerning energy, but through the Westchester Green Business program we have worked to minimize our pollution and waste, conserve water, protect the habitat, and do all those things that are really important to mitigate climate change and conserve the earth – or save the earth as I like to say.”

Westchester Green Business congratulates Bright Energy Services’ leadership and staff on this terrific achievement.
