New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson and BCW Partner on Retail Recruitment Plan

New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson outlined New Rochelle’s economic development plan on Tuesday when the mayor met with the BCW to give an update on the city’s initiatives. The mayor praised the BCW for its support of the county’s urban centers and the leadership role it has taken in helping to shape direction for the economic development of our cities.

Bramson also discussed a new Retail Recruitment plan launched by the city last month to attract more retail companies to downtown New Rochelle. The BCW is working in partnership with the city to analyze data to determine which business will be the best fit for new residents. Retail and entertainment were two key factors that developers said attracted them to locations when the BCW held its “Reimagining Our Downtowns” forum in March. The forum brought together the leaders of four major development companies to talk about what attracted them to develop in certain areas and how cities could work cooperatively with them to craft the most beneficial result.
