H2M Architects & Engineers Celebrates Office Re-Location

Melville, NY: On June 29th H2M architects + engineers (H2M) Westchester office (formerly known as H2M White Plains) hosted a Client/H2M Open House reception at their newest location (2700 Westchester Avenue, Purchase, NY) where in his continuing effort of supporting local businesses and professionals, Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino proclaimed June 30, 2017 H2M architects + engineers Day. Much excitement was generated by the display on the jumbotron in front of the Westchester County Center on June 30th when it scrolled H2M architects + engineers day.

The open house reception provided the opportunity for all who attended to see the newest Westchester office space. Each office location within the H2M family looks identical to the Corporate office in Melville, New York. The signature H2M branding is reflected from the color of the walls, the office furniture, workstations, collaboration areas, kitchen area and conference rooms to the entrance way glass doors. In line with the H2M philosophy of collaboration, the layout of each office lends itself to a collaborative interactive flexible office environment. The open, airy nature of the office, bathed in natural light is demonstrative of the sustainable design practiced everyday by their design professionals for clients. While the clients enjoy the positive professional atmosphere and consistent look of the H2M offices, the employees seem to be increasingly energized by the environment that fosters collaborative interaction with a variety of discipline professionals colleagues.

The growth has been steady at the H2M architects + engineer’s Westchester location. The team of expert design professionals focus on supporting and growing the Education, Emergency Services, Commercial Real Estate and Municipal Markets. H2M offers a full range of professional services, some of which include: architecture, planning, civil/site engineering, survey, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, sanitary engineering, environmental engineering, forensic cause & origin, interior design, sports development, water supply management, wastewater management, full environmental services, industrial hygiene, solid and hazardous waste management, construction inspections and GIS/mapping.

In August of 2012 H2M architects + engineers (H2M) opened its White Plains office at 75 South Broadway with the long term vision of having a full service H2M office in the Lower Hudson region of New York. In September 2014 the office was staffed with three (3) architects, including the Director of the Westchester office, Veronica Byrnes. In May of 2015, H2M grew so quickly that it required a larger space moving them to 1025 Westchester Avenue, White Plains, NY. This location would accommodate 10 professionals (1 Administrative Assistant, 1 Business Development, 8 Architects, 1 Deputy Market Leader for our Municipal Market). H2M outgrew the space faster than anticipated, so in May 2017 H2M moved to its newest location at 2700 Westchester Avenue, Purchase, NY. The new location will accommodate 37 employees with intentions of adding professional designers in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing), Civil Engineers and Water Resource Engineers.

The reception hosted many clients and dignitaries from County Executive Rob Astorino, Harrison Town Supervisor and Village Mayor Ron Belmont, Judge Brandon Sall, Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) Commissioner Vincent F. Kopicki, to Department of Environmental Facilities (DEF) Commissioner Thomas J. Lauro. Dignitaries that sent their well wishes where NYS Senator Terrence P. Murphy, County Legislator Chairman Michael B. Kaplowitz and County Legislator David B. Gelfarb. Along with the many H2Mers from all the offices (Albany, Suffern, NYC, Melville, and Parsippany, Howell, NJ) attended to support and see the new Westchester office.
