State Comptroller featured speaker at this month’s Political Leadership Series

Join the Business Council of Westchester on Thursday, June 29 at the next Political Leadership Series event featuring guest speakerNew York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli. 

The program will be held from 8-9:30am in the Auditorium at 800 Westchester Ave., Rye Brook.

As state’s chief financial officer, DiNapoli ensures that state and local governments use taxpayer money efficiently to promote the common good. The Comptroller serves as the sole trustee of the estimated $192 billion New York State Common Retirement Fund, which as of this year was noted to be one of the largest institutional investors in the world. The Comptroller issues numerous reports on the state’s finances, reviews state contracts  and payments, managing and issuing state debt and conducting audits of state agencies and public benefit corporations.

Among the topics DiNapoli will discuss:

  • The state of New York state’s finances;
  • How the Trump Administration’s first budget will affect  New York’s  economy;
  • New programs that the Comptroller’s office has  created to help businesses.

A continental breakfast will be served prior to the Comptroller’s presentation.

Admission is $25 for Members and $30 for Future Members.
