A highlight was the opportunity to hear from Vedat Gashi, the newly elected Board Chair. The meeting was his first with the county’s business community since assuming the leadership on May 15th. During the more than two-hour reception, BCW members discussed a range of topics with the legislators including the future of the County Airport, childcare funding, business mandates & regulations, the changing energy landscape and budget and legislative priorities.

BCW Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer John Ravitz led the formal discussion with a focus on the BCW’s 2023 Legislative Agenda and the work the Board of Legislators are doing to prepare for the county’s 2024 Executive Budget.
