Jill Singer Named “Community Partner of the Year”
Jill Singer, founder of Jill Singer Graphics, was recently honored as the “Community Partner of the Year” by the Association of Development Officers (ADO) at the organization’s annual Philanthropy Awards Breakfast at Tappan Hill in Tarrytown, NY. Singer was recognized alongside Betsy Steward (Fundraiser of the Year), Peter Samaha (Outstanding Philanthropist Award), the Pro Bono Partnership Board of Directors (Board Philanthropic Award) and David Singer (Outstanding Corporate Philanthropy).
Jill Singer, a member of the ADO Board of Directors, was chosen as Community Partner of the Year in recognition of her contributions to the organization – she donates graphic design and marketing services to encourage membership and promote events – as well as her career-long commitment to supporting Westchester nonprofits professionally and personally.
Addressing attendees, Singer credited them for their hard work and giving her career its purpose. “I feel so lucky to have a career that allows me to contribute, in a small way, to the miracles you perform,” she said. “I know it’s not easy, and that your challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming. But through my clients and colleagues I’ve heard so many of your success stories — It may be one person, animal or acre at a time, but to the one you have helped – you have changed the world. And those victories add up.”
Singer also reminded the business community of their responsibility, adding: “None of this would get done without you, and I hope you not only feel proud, but continue to keep this in the forefront of your life’s mission. It’s incumbent upon all of us to do what we can to help.”
In addition to serving on the Board of ADO, Jill Singer is an Ambassador and the Chair of the Solopreneurs Council for the Business Council of Westchester, a member of the Building and Reality Institute, and a member of this year’s class of Leadership Westchester.
